I'LL DO THE
YOU DO THE
I've been freelance producing since 2014 with a focus on small to medium organizations and independent artists. I like to describe myself as a multitool arts manager: someone with interdepartmental experience who can specialise - but who also understands how all these functions thrive best interdependently. I bring the values of anti-colonialism, anti-oppression, and climate justice into my arts management practice.
In 2018, I did an exhaustive comparative study of financial software, evaluating it against the needs of indie artists and small/mid-sized arts organisations. Pocketsmith was a clear winner. It's the software I use for my own bookkeeping, it's the software I personally will recommend, and it's the only software I endorse as an affiliate. Click the logo to check it out for yourself! My favourite features are: multi-account synchronization, cashflow projections, split-transaction, categories to make tax filing and audits a breeze, and the ability to group transactions together by project/s. And of course: PIE CHARTS! Pocketsmith is a BEAST. And they are owned by a very rad start-up in New Zealand that gives you the personal customer service touch. Do you get excited about your financial software? Because I sure do…
